Over-the-Air (OTA) Device Software Updates

Beginning with Konnected device software version 2.3.0, you can now update the device's embedded software over the air without having to physically connect the device to a computer and re-flash.

Use the Konnected mobile app to quickly and easily update the device software:

Get it on Google Play

Note that your phone must be connected to the same local network as the Konnected devices to trigger an OTA update.

Workaround for Konnected app OTA update error on versions 2.3.0 and 2.3.1

A browser security feature on some mobile phones is causing an error updating devices via the Konnected app that are currently running 2.3.0 or 2.3.1. This has been fixed in 2.3.2. To trigger an OTA update from either of these two versions, you can avoid the browser security problem by sending an update request using curl or similar HTTP request tool:

curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"uri":"https://konnected-io.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/esp8266-lfs/lfs-2.3.3.img"}' \

Copy and paste the above command into your terminal, replacing the IP address and port in the last part with the IP address and port of your device on your local network.
