Firmware Update Does Not Connect?

I have a V1 Konnected
Installed the CH340, and it recognizes the device.
The COM port settings are correct at 9600 baud
When I attempt to flash (tool v3.1), it just repeats a series of dots and underscores.

Is this thing toast? Or am I doing something wrong.

Managed to upgrade 2 of 3 boards but stuck with the third

I ended up ordering and flashing a new nodMCU wifi board off Amazon/worked. Can get them for £10 or so in UK. Not sure if another way or a problem with original board.
