Boards suddenly stop updating contact status and have blinking wifi led in 11-4 pattern

Hoping the community has some answers or can help in troubleshooting. All of a sudden my two alarm boards have stopped updating the contact status in hubitat, i can see them and get a status update but nothing updates when the contacts change in the house and they have an inactive status in hubitat. I have deleted the boards in hubitat and reinstalled, same thing. have used a backup in hubitat, same thing. i have zwave devices in hubitat and they work perfectly (dont think its a hubitat issue). On both boards the wifi led is blinking in a 11-4 pattern. Also have rebooted wifi router and power cycled the konnected boards. Any suggestions?

OK, update. Fixed the issue by flashing firmware, now have another issue. I can connect the board to hubitat, i see the konnected (connected) app in the app list and i see the contacts in the device list, however the device is listed as status unknown and does not update. The konnected board wifi led blinks as the house sensor is opened and closed, but nothing on hubitat. Looking in the hubitat logs the board can no longer be seen, see below. Have deleted and re installed the konnected drivers and app code, rebooted hubitat etc. this is frustrating they worked fine last week.

same here

worked fine last week and now Konnected wifi module is flashing blue light

I've started having a similar issue but not sure if it's exactly the same. My Konnected boards keep randomly disconnecting from Wifi. The symptoms I see are:

1.) I notice that door sensors stop detecting open/close events.

2.) I log into Hubitat to check the status of the Konnected device. Going to the Konnected app and clicking on "Device status" tries to redirect my browser to the IP of the Konnected device, which results in "Unable to connect to <Konnected IP>"

3.) I see the blue LEDs on the Konnected boards blinking repeatedly.

4.) I use my cell phone to scan for open Wifi networks and notice that each of my Konnected devices is showing up as their own hotspots such as "Konnected_<unique ID>"

If I pull power from the boards for a few seconds and then plug them back in they usually re-connect to the Wifi on their own. This is kind of concerning given that the whole use case behind Konnected is using it for security system sensors. The security system becomes rather useless if the Konnected boards lose their Wifi connection.

As far as signal strength: My Konnected boards are about 6ft away from my wifi router with only a single interior wall separating them so the signal strength is quite strong.

Does anyone know the cause or know any solutions?

Hi Jeremy,

What you describe is what i was experiencing, it was down to my wifi extender, once it was off the network everything worked as expected and its been rock solid since. I have tried to turn the extender back on but it just interferes so will see if i can find a spare LAN port and turn it into a second AP. So far the boards work fine with router plus an AP. Once i removed the extender off the network i rebooted router, deleted konnected from Hubitast, rebooted Hubitat, reinstalled konnected on Hubitat, then re-flashed firmware to wifi modules (its really easy) and its all been good since. My boards are 3 feet from the AP, but they worked fine without the AP and hence would be 40ft from the router. What is your wifi set up, just one router or do you have any extenders/repeaters?

There must be an easier way.  So every time you remove Konnected from Hubitat Hub, Konnected then starts having a flashing blue light.   Then you have to reflash the wifi module and only then can you place back into Konnected board and re-install back into Hubitat Hub.   I wonder if this is an issue with SmartThings Hub.

I have had Konnected and Hubitat Hub for little over a month and had to do this twice already.

no, I had an issue where all of a sudden my Konnected boards dropped off and Hubitat could not see them and the wifi led's were blinking rapidly, i think this happened after my wifi router did a firmware update. The Hubitat logs indicated that the MAC id of the boards was being spoofed, which was a result of the wifi extender. So i took the wifi extender off my wifi network then did a clean install of the Konnected boards (just to make sure I had no issues, dont think this needs to be done but thats just how i am!!) and now all is good and i have had no connection issues. I did try and turn the wifi extender back on but immediately Hubitat did not see the Konnected boards, turned off the wifi extender and all is good (did not have to re install the konnected boards). I think there is an issue with my wifi extender and how it interacts with the Konnected boards, so i am going to turn the wifi extender into an AP. If i think back i had some ongoing connection issues with Konnected since day one (3 months ago) but not bad enough for me to troubleshoot, since i have taken the extender off its been rock solid. What wifi setup do you have ?

I've recently experience the same issue as you. My WiFi went out and I had to reset the router and 2 out of 5 Konnected modules didn't connect back to the WiFi. The reason I realized about that is that my wife open one of the patio doors without disarming the alarm and the alarm didn't go off. Very scary though. So, I had to unplug and plug back in the 2 Konnected modules to be able to connect back to the WiFi.

Can the modules automatically reset themselves in the even WiFi is not detected for a 5 minute period or so?
